Lead-acid forklift batteries.
Standard flooded lead-acid in all common voltages (24V, 36V, 48V, 80V) and capacities. OEM-equivalent fitments for Toyota, Hyster, Yale, CAT, Crown, Raymond, and others.
Straight talk: batteries aren't our main business. Smartlift rental is. But we have the supplier contacts, so if you know exactly what you need (make, model, voltage, capacity), we can source it at better pricing than retail. Lead-acid and lithium, any size, delivered to your dock. We sell and deliver only, no installation, but we'll help you find a local battery service provider if you ask.
This is a side service. Iron Bay's main business is Smartlift rental. If you landed here by accident, see Smartlift rentals for our core offering.

LFP (lithium iron phosphate) drop-in replacements with built-in BMS. Faster charging, longer cycle life, no watering, no equalizing. More upfront, lower total cost of ownership.
Smaller capacities for class III equipment.
Aerial work platforms, ground support equipment, AGVs. Tell us the equipment make and model and we'll source the OEM-equivalent fitment.
| Factor | Lead-acid | Lithium (LFP) |
|---|---|---|
| Upfront cost | Lower. Often half the price of an equivalent lithium pack. | Higher. 2 to 3x the lead-acid price. |
| Cycle life | About 1,500 cycles. | About 4,000 to 6,000 cycles. |
| Charge time | 8 to 10 hours, plus a cool-down. Most users buy spare batteries to swap. | 1 to 3 hours, opportunity-charge during breaks. No cool-down, no swap. |
| Maintenance | Watering, equalizing, terminal cleaning. Real ongoing labor. | None. Sealed pack with built-in BMS. |
| Total cost over 5 years | Often higher when you factor in spares, labor, and replacement. | Often lower despite the upfront premium. |
| Best fit | Single-shift operations, light to moderate use, budget-constrained capex. | Multi-shift operations, heavy daily use, fleets large enough to absorb the upfront premium. |
Tell us your operation (shifts, equipment count, current charging setup) and we'll quote both options so you can make an informed call.
Equipment make, model, current battery voltage and capacity. Quantity. Destination zip. Lead-acid, lithium, or both options quoted.
Pricing reflects manufacturer relationships, not retail markup.
You arrange install with your service provider. If you don't have one, we help find a battery service company in your area. Lithium packs ship under hazmat rules, which adds to the freight line.
Depends on your operation. Multi-shift heavy users usually benefit. Single-shift light users often don't see the payback. We'll model both options on your quote so you can decide.
Common lead-acid sizes ship in 7 to 14 days. Lithium packs run 4 to 8 weeks for OEM-spec configurations.
Not on-site for v1. We ship to your facility. You arrange install with your service provider. If you don't have one, we help find one.
Lead-acid yes, through scrap recycling. Tell us how many and the condition and we'll arrange pickup or a recycler in your area.
Manufacturer warranty applies. Lead-acid is typically 12 to 24 months. Lithium is typically 5 to 10 years on the cells. We pass the warranty through.
LFP chemistry is the most stable lithium type in common industrial use. The drop-in packs include a battery management system (BMS) that protects against over-charge, over-discharge, and thermal events. Confirm compatibility with your forklift OEM, especially for older units.
