Smartlift rental for general contractors in Florida.

Your subs need lift gear and you'd rather rent than coordinate four bodies on a single pick. Or your own crew can self-perform the glass or stone if the equipment shows up on time. Iron Bay rents the SL609 HLE RT across Florida from our Tampa yard. Day, week, or month.

Two ways to use it.

Rent for your subs.

A glazing or stone sub shows up without lift gear and the schedule slips. Rent the unit yourself, hand it over, and keep your install date. The cost is itemized and predictable. The schedule stays yours.

Self-perform.

Your in-house crew can handle glass or stone work that you'd normally sub out, if the right equipment is on site. The Smartlift makes that practical. One operator, one ramp, no four-person handling crew.

Three GC scenarios.

Multi-pane storefront fit-out.

A retail or office build with 8 to 20 oversized storefront IGUs. Your in-house carpenters can set them with a Smartlift. No sub markup, no scheduling lag.

Stone and slab residential builds.

Custom homes with kitchen islands, master baths, and exterior stone cladding. A Smartlift on the schedule keeps your crew from waiting on the stone fabricator's install team.

Hospitality and TI fit-outs.

Hotels, restaurants, retail buildouts. Deck-level glass, tile slab, fabricated metal. The Smartlift handles the heavy picks across the whole build, not just one trade.

One operator beats a crew. Here's the math.

Sub markup or self-perform. Either way, the math wins.

Job pattern Manual crew install 1 person plus Smartlift You save
10 oversized panes on a commercial fit-out Glazing sub install fee. Often $500 to $1,000 per pane (with crew, lift gear, and markup). $5,000 to $10,000 for the run. Week rental $1,625, insurance $244, round-trip delivery $300, plus your in-house crew. About $2,500 for the week. $2,500 to $7,500 on the run, plus you control the schedule.
Stone slab work on a residential build (10+ slabs) Per-slab install fees from the stone shop. $200 to $400 per slab. $2,000 to $4,000 for the work. Week rental plus your crew. About $2,500. About even on a 10-slab job, but you decide the install date. The math gets better at 15+ slabs.
Schedule control on the critical path At your sub's mercy. A no-show pushes the rest of the trades. Your crew, your timeline, your call. Hard to put a number on. Ask any GC who's lost a week.

The Smartlift isn't just a tool. It's a way to take a critical-path lift task off the sub list and put it on your own crew's schedule.

Builders, in their words.

We're new. While we build our own customer wall, here's what GCs and self-performing contractors have publicly said about working with Smartlift gear.

"We wanted to be more efficient and safer in the way we install glass. One operator instead of four guys on a panel."

General contractors FAQ.

Can I rent it for a single critical install?

Yes. Day rate is $625. We've delivered for one-day picks on commercial fit-outs more than once.

Do my carpenters need a special cert to operate the Smartlift?

No. Our driver runs the walkthrough on drop-off. The unit is intuitive. If your crew can drive a pallet jack, they can run a Smartlift.

Can you bill us through our procurement system?

Yes. We can invoice on a PO, and we accept credit card or wire/ACH. Send your billing setup with the quote request.

What about insurance and additional insured for the project owner?

We carry commercial liability on the equipment. If the project owner needs a certificate of insurance with specific endorsements, send the requirements with your quote and we'll coordinate.

Do you deliver to active commercial jobsites with a security gate?

Yes. Send the site contact, gate hours, and any access notes when you book. We work with the site supervisor on arrival.

Take the lift task off the sub list.
