Rental agreement, in plain language.
This is a summary so you know what you are signing before you sign it. The signed rental agreement is the document that governs, and it wins over anything on this page.
What you are renting
A Smartlift vacuum lifter, the SL609 HLE RT, plus a ramp if you asked for one. It arrives charged, checked, and clean.
Rates
The rates stated in your quote apply. Your quote is itemized so the rental, the delivery, and the damage waiver appear as separate lines, and anything that can be added later, like extra days, damage, idle time, or cleaning beyond a rinse, is set out in the signed agreement.
Damage waiver
Shown as its own line on your quote. Business renters can decline it with a certificate of insurance, sent before delivery. It must cover physical damage to rented equipment and name Iron Bay Equipment as loss payee. If you rent for yourself and not a business, the waiver is required. Business renters also send a general liability certificate before delivery. We walk you through either option before you sign.
Delivery and pickup
We deliver and we collect. Delivery is priced per direction by road distance from our Tampa yard, so most rentals carry both, and both are on the quote. There is no self-pickup.
Operators
Not included. Our driver walks your crew through the controls and the safety circuits on drop-off, and you have our phone number for the length of the rental. You are responsible for who operates it and for operating it safely.
If something goes wrong
If the unit fails during your rental through no fault of yours, we troubleshoot, repair or replace, and credit the lost days. You do not lose the day because the machine stopped.
Cancelling and rescheduling
Cancel free up to 48 hours before drop-off. Inside 48 hours, rescheduling is still free if the machine is available on the new date. Cancel inside 48 hours and we keep your zone's one-way delivery charge, because the truck and the day were already routed. When a named storm closes your jobsite, we reschedule at no charge.
Payment
Card (credit or debit), ACH, wire, check, cash or Zelle. Cards add a 3% processing fee. Other methods have no fee. Payment in full books the rental.
Your responsibilities
At the end of each day and whenever your crew leaves the site, lock it inside a building or container with the key and remote out. Never leave it outside overnight or in the rain. Do not exceed the rated capacity for the reach you are using, and do not let anyone operate it who has not been through the walkthrough.

Florida law governs. The signed agreement sets out liability in full, and you should read that section rather than rely on this summary.
