How pricing works
What goes into your quote.
Every Smartlift rental is priced for the job, because delivery distance and rental length move the number more than anything else. Send your zip and dates. We answer within two hours, 9 to 5, seven days, and quote as soon as we have your job details.
Four things move the number.
Apart from sales tax, nothing else goes on the quote. There are no fuel surcharges and no environmental fees.
- Rental length
- Day, week, and month rates. The longer you keep it, the less it costs per day, and the month rate is the one most stone crews end up on.
- Delivery zone
- Priced per direction by road distance from our Tampa yard. Most jobs need a drop-off and a pickup, so budget for both. Each trip is on the quote.
- Damage waiver
- Listed as its own line so you can see exactly what it is. It is not bundled into the rate. Business renters can decline it with a certificate of insurance that covers physical damage to rented equipment and names Iron Bay Equipment as loss payee. If you rent for yourself and not a business, the waiver is required.
- Attachments
- The fork attachment and the hook and grapple, if the job calls for them. Most jobs do not.
Your quote itemizes all four. You will not get a single number with no breakdown.

We keep your zone's one-way delivery charge, because the truck and the day were already routed. Reschedule instead and there is no charge.
Named storm
We move you to the next available day at no charge. Florida is Florida.
Your quote shows every planned charge. A few things can be added later: extra days, damage, idle time if the machine cannot drive back onto our truck, and cleaning beyond a rinse. The rental agreement sets each one, and you sign it before delivery.

How much does it cost to rent a Smartlift?
It depends on your job, and that is not a dodge. Delivery distance and rental length move the number more than anything else, so a week in Tampa and a week in Jacksonville are not the same rental. Is delivery charged each way?
Yes. Delivery is priced per direction by road distance from our Tampa yard, so most jobs carry a drop-off and a pickup. Budget for both. Both are on the quote.
What is not included?
An operator. A standard rental does not come with one, because most crews do not need one. Our driver walks your people through the controls on drop-off. If you can drive a pallet jack, you can run a Smartlift.
Can I pick it up myself and skip delivery?
No. We handle every drop-off and pickup.
Do you charge more during hurricane season?
No. Same rates year round. What does change is availability, so book earlier from June through November.
