Can a vacuum lifter be used on a finished floor indoors?
Yes, with two things sorted first. The SL609 HLE RT is battery-electric, so there are no fumes and it runs inside an occupied building. It is also a 2,090 lb Outdoor-series machine on standard tires, which can mark a finished floor. Non-marking wheels are an available option, so tell us it is a finished floor when you book.

The wheels
Standard tires can leave marks on tile, hardwood, or polished stone. Non-marking wheels are an available option, so say it is a finished floor when you book.
The floor itself
The machine weighs 2,090 lb before the load. On a slab on grade that is not a question. On a wood-framed floor, a mezzanine, or a raised deck, get the GC or the engineer to sign off first.
The route
It drives through at 32.7 in and needs 5 ft 8 in to set its legs down and lift. Walk the route from the truck to where the piece lands.
The air
Battery-electric, no exhaust, a full workday on one charge. Lobbies, occupied offices, and homes with the family still in them are fine.
Straight about the Outdoor part.
Smartlift builds an Indoor series and an Outdoor series. Ours is Outdoor, and that is not a problem inside once the wheels and the floor are sorted.
- What Outdoor meansA four-wheel chassis with wide off-road tires, built for a jobsite. That is what lets it cross a lawn or a gravel lot on the way in.
- What it does not meanIt is the same model that sets marble fireplace walls in finished living rooms, in a case the manufacturer published. It needs the wheels sorted and the floor checked, nothing more.
- Where we say noA floor that cannot take the weight. If the engineer says no, we say no, and we would rather lose the day than crack a floor.

Will it mark a tile or hardwood floor?
Standard tires can. Non-marking wheels are an available option. Tell us the floor when you book and we plan for it before the truck leaves.
Does it need ventilation indoors?
No. It is battery-electric with no exhaust. It runs a full workday on one charge and charges overnight on a standard 110 V outlet.
How heavy is it on the floor?
2,090 lb before the load, and the weight sits forward when the arm is out. On a slab on grade that is fine. On a framed floor or a raised deck, get it approved by the GC or the engineer before you book.
Can it work in a lobby with tenants around?
Yes. No fumes and one operator on a remote. Cordon the set area the way you would for any lift. It fits through a standard 36-inch door on the way in.
Is there an indoor Smartlift?
The manufacturer makes an Indoor series. We do not rent one today. For most stone and glass sets inside a house or a storefront, the SL609 does the job once the wheels are sorted.
